The Little Zion Baptist Church, located in Oak Grove, Virginia, is the Oldest Black Church in the local vicinity. The Church was birthed in 1866, underneath a bush harbor. Historial records indicated that three bold soldiers for Christ, and others, who under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit knelt and said, "Let us build a Church". Many other churches were birthed out of Little Zion. Little Zion is known near and far for it's heart and hand of love and for its support in leadership and in missions, home, state and foreign. Little Zion has approximately 700 members on its membership roll, with an approximately average of 200 active. There are ministries that provide service, support, fellowship and outreach to many in the church and the community. Little Zion Baptist Church is well known for the Preached Word of God that sets the captives free and its excellent Music Ministry.
